London Chinatown Lions Club

London Chinatown Lions Club was formed in 1983 by a group of businessmen and professionals working in London Chinatown area. It is one of over 900 Lions Clubs in United Kingdom.

The late Melvin Jones of Chicago founded Lions Club International over 80 years ago. Today there are over 1.5 millions members in over 180 countries. Lions Clubs International is one of the largest service organization in the world. It is a non-religious and non-political charitable organization.

The motto of Lions Club International is ‘To Serve’, to serve those who are less fortunate than ourselves. The individual Lion Club would serve locally. The multiple district (represents a nation or a geographic area) would serve at national level. The Lions Clubs International will deal with humanitarian projects internationally.

London Chinatown Lions Club participates in various projects like raising funds for the elderly, education, substances abuse and awareness with other agencies. We also supporting SightFirst, an international sight project to educate and treat preventable eye conditions, and Water Well project to provide clean water supply in Africa and the Indian subcontinent.

Recently, through Project Hope, we have extend our community service to finance building a school, offering better educational facilities to the local communities in the remote and underdeveloped western part of China.

London Chinatown Lions Club will continue supporting all charitable activities or projects in UK and globally.
