Course
The centre provides access to a full 2000m seven racing-lane rowing course with return lane. The tow path provides access to the full length of the course.
Boathouse
The boathouse adjacent to the centre is 70 metres in length. It 3 bays offer 6 extensive modern racking systems which could accommodate 80 rowing eights. The boat house also has an extensive secure workshop area.
Tank
The regatta centre boasts a state of the art rowing tank which contains the very latest technology The system was designed by Arup and was built at a cost of circa £100,000. The tank has a pumped circulation system which more accurately reflects rowing in a boat than do traditional rowing tanks which rely on the oars to circulate the water. The tank is also unique in that it can accommodate 8 people in line, either in a rowing or sculling configuration.
The Club House
The clubhouse contains a fully equipped gym which is operated on behalf of the Royal Albert Dock Trust by The Connaught Health and Fitness Club.
Yi-Ban Chinese Restaurant
The Yi-Ban Chinese restaurant is located on the upper level and has a wonderful view down the rowing course.
Transportation
The Centre is well served by public transport being 2 mins walk from Royal Albert Docklands Light Railway and good connections to the North Circular Road (A406), M11 and M25.
